MAMG believes that the academic training and qualification of its professionals are essential to properly fulfill its mission.
Several of our professionals teach and research at renowned universities in Brazil and abroad. They are furthermore frequently invited to participate as speakers in academic events, and are members of doctoral and master’s thesis defense committees. Our professionals also regularly publish books, articles and other scholarly writings, in order to contribute to the development of Brazilian and international legal science.
In this context, MAMG has launched the “IN-HOUSE SCHOLAR” program, inviting renowned foreign professors, researchers and other academics to spend a period of time in Brazil, during which they continue their studies and publications, and may at the same time engage in academic exchanges with our team. Scholars will also participate in joint research and publication projects with MAMG.
At MAMG, the scholars will be able to profit from our infrastructure, resources and operational support in the development of their academic activities while contributing to the quality of our practice.
MAMG will evaluate and discuss the terms of remuneration with each scholar, including the scholar’s travel and accommodation expenses, on a case-by-case basis. MAMG will also assess the duration of the scholar’s stay, conditions and workload case by case.
(During the participation in the program, the scholar engages exclusively in academic activities (such as said publication of scholarly writings, participation in research projects, events, academic meetings, etc.), and will neither render any legal services on behalf of MAMG, nor consultancy, whether in Brazilian or foreign law. The scholar expresses only his or her own views in publications, and, as he or she does not form part of MAMG’s legal team, not MAMG’s positions).
Currently, the IN-HOUSE SCHOLAR Program has the following participants:
