We believe that integrating national and global initiatives, which are aligned with our purpose of working with a focus on human relations, is a conscious and effective way to contribute to the construction of innovative paradigms in the area of dispute prevention and resolution.
For this reason, MAMG Advogados is a signatory to important pledges, international public commitments that aim to promote greater equity and diversity in the legal area, encourage sustainable practices and implement policies committed to avoiding litigation.

The CPR Dispute Prevention Pledge for Business Relationships is an international public commitment that recommends the adoption of dispute prevention techniques and practices to preserve business relationships and avoid litigation in a quick, efficient and economic manner.
The pledge has been made available for signature by the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR), a North American organization internationally recognized as a benchmark of best practices in dispute prevention and resolution, including through the administration of procedures and appointment of neutrals and facilitators.

The Campaign for Greener Arbitrations: The Green Pledge provides international recommendations aimed at minimizing the environmental impact of arbitration practices.
The Green Pledge advises that, when appropriate, witnesses and experts should testify by videoconference, avoiding travel for attendance at hearings. The pledge also suggests the use of videoconferencing as an alternative to travel, and carbon offsets for long distance trips related to arbitration.
The recommendations in this agreement also include reducing energy consumption and waste in offices, encouraging the use of electronic copies of documents, and prioritizing the hiring of suppliers and service providers who are committed to reducing their environmental footprints.

The Equal Representation in Arbitration (ERA) Pledge is a global commitment to improve the representation of women in arbitration and to increase the number of women’s appointments to arbitral tribunals in order to achieve gender parity in this area of law.
The ERA Pledge sets forth concrete steps to be taken by its signatories to assist the arbitral community in implementing equal opportunity, which contemplates that appointments in arbitration, as well as other opportunities in this legal field (conferences, committees, academic activities, lists of arbitrators, etc.), should be based on a level playing field between men and women.
This commitment is the result of a collaborative effort between representatives of states, businesses, arbitral institutions, arbitration professionals – both lawyers and arbitrators – and academics from around the world.

MAMG signed the CPR’s 2022 Diversity Commitment, a new version of the pledge created by the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) to promote greater diversity and inclusion in arbitration advocacy.
Our firm had already signed the first version of the public commitment, launched by the Institute in 2021. Articulating with clients the debate on diversity valuing, especially to increase the participation of women, black people and members of the LGBTQIAP+ community in mediation and arbitration is the focus of this pledge.

MAMG adopted the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), a set of principles, established by the UN Global Compact and UN Women, that guide companies on how to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, in the market and the community. WEPs are the primary vehicle for corporate delivery on the gender equality dimensions of the 2030 agenda and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. By being part of the WEPs community, MAMG reaffirms its commitment to this agenda and ensures to work collaboratively to promote business practices that empower women.
