Licensed in Brazil and New York, Alessandra practices in domestic and international arbitrations, mediations, and negotiations involving corporate transactions, commercial and administrative contracts, construction and infrastructure projects, and the sanitation and energy sectors. She also advises clients on strategic corporate projects, the drafting, analysis, and negotiation of complex contracts, as well as on data protection, innovation, and technology transfer matters.
She holds an LL.M. from Northwestern University, where she graduated with honors and received the James Nelson Raymond Fellowship for academic distinction. She is a Certified Specialist in Personal Data Protection (Data Privacy BR), holds postgraduate degrees in Legal Management and Litigation (IBMEC) and in Public Law (Cândido Mendes University), and obtained her Law degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), including an academic exchange at Universität des Saarlandes, Germany.
Alessandra is recognized by The Legal 500 for her work in arbitration. She is Vice President of the New Voices of the CMA CIESP/FIESP, member of the New York State Bar, the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club (CEIA) — where she also serves on the Dispute Boards Committee —, and the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr). She is also coauthor of the article “New Perspectives on the Objective Arbitrability of Disputes Involving the Public Administration,” published in the book Arbitration and Mediation in Private and Public Law (Quartier Latin), and an occasional speaker at conferences on technology and law.
