Since 2002, she has represented clients in domestic and international arbitrations and mediations across Latin America, Europe, the United States, and Africa, in disputes involving corporate transactions, construction contracts, infrastructure, energy sector conflicts, real estate, agribusiness, contracts with public authorities, among others. She combines this practice with dispute prevention as well as the negotiation and drafting of complex contracts. Sílvia also serves as an arbitrator.

Sílvia is frequently invited to speak at leading arbitration conferences in Brazil and abroad, as well as to lecture on Arbitration at universities, such as in the postgraduate program at Mackenzie University. She has also contributed articles to major publications on arbitration in recent years.

Associations

  • Vice-Chair of the ICC Brazil Arbitration and ADR Commission (2024–2026), after having led the “Arbitration and Energy” Task Force of this Commission (2023–2025).
  • Sílvia is one of the four members of the ICC Brazilian Committee’s Nominations Commission, responsible for proposing candidates to the ICC Court of Arbitration whenever the Court needs to appoint an arbitrator from Brazil (2024–2026).
  • She has been appointed for a second term as Delegate of the ICC Global Commission on Arbitration and ADR – Paris, representing Brazil (2024–2027).
